Sexually Transmitted Diseases

The Texas County Health Department provides no-cost, confidential testing for the following sexually transmitted diseases:



• Chlamydia
• Gonorrhea
• HIV/AIDS
• Syphilis

Treatment and education are also available.

If left untreated, sexually transmitted diseases can cause serious complications. Public health’s goals include identifying cases of STDs, ensure appropriate treatment for the diseases, educating the public on risk factors, and locating and notifying contacts of known positive partners.
